Who we are

A local nonprofit built around one belief: housing is the foundation of everything else.

Rising rents and limited inventory have left too many Upstate families one setback away from losing their homes. We exist to close that gap — connecting people to the resources, guidance, and advocacy they need to stay housed and move toward long-term stability.

Dignity first

Every neighbor is met with respect, privacy, and a real plan — never a number in line.

Rooted in community

We work alongside local landlords, churches, employers, and agencies who know these neighborhoods.

Focused on lasting stability

Short-term relief paired with counseling and planning so families don't return to crisis.

What we do

Programs that meet families where they are.

From an emergency this month to a mortgage in five years, our programs cover the full path to housing stability.

Emergency Rent & Utility Assistance

Short-term financial help for households facing eviction, disconnection, or a sudden loss of income — paid directly to landlords and utility providers.

Common questions

Answers before you apply.

Who is eligible for assistance?

Residents of Greenville or Spartanburg County whose household income falls within program limits and who are facing a housing need — an eviction notice, a utility shutoff, a housing search, or a first home purchase. A counselor will confirm eligibility during intake.

Does it cost anything to apply?

No. All of our services — including counseling and housing navigation — are free to the people we serve.

How quickly can I get help?

We aim to respond to every inquiry within a few business days. Emergency cases with a court date or disconnection notice are prioritized.

What documents will I need?

Typically a photo ID, proof of residence in the county, recent income information, and your lease or notice. Don't have everything? Reach out anyway — we'll help you gather what's needed.

I'm a landlord. How can I work with you?

We pay approved assistance directly to landlords and can connect you with pre-screened tenants. Contact us to join our partner network.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Your information is used only to determine eligibility and coordinate services, and is never sold or shared without your consent.
